The Man Cave

The Man Cave is a contemporary garden building that reimagines the traditional Lincolnshire barn — blending heritage forms with a modern, refined aesthetic.

We worked closely with the client to refine the design and secure planning approval before work began on site. Large sliding doors soften the boundary between inside and out, while a bespoke hand-crafted kitchen — featuring oiled pine joinery and a polished concrete worktop — fills the interior with warmth and character.

The result is a beautifully crafted space that proves what's possible when designer, client, and contractor are aligned. Every detail was considered before construction began, resulting in a building that feels both intentional and personal.

The Man Cave stands as a benchmark for thoughtful, small-scale architecture — demonstrating that even modest projects deserve the same care, craft, and attention to detail as the most ambitious of builds.

Footnote: The Man Cave was designed and delivered whilst working for Stirlin Developments Limited, who have kindly allowed us to share this project and photographs — thank you!
